On 9 October 1998, the SUEZ Group signed an International Social Charter with union representatives at the European level; the scope of this charter has since been extended worldwide.
On 2 July 2008, the Gaz de France group signed a Corporate Accountability agreement with all its union representatives in France and Europe.
The unions and the management will soon look at the conditions under which these two documents might be extended to the GDF SUEZ group as a whole.

On October 23, 2002, the SUEZ Group signed a Health and Safety Charter with union representatives at the European level; the scope of this charter has since been extended worldwide. Gaz de France also has its own Health and Safety Policy.
Work on reconciling these two documents to produce a Health and Safety Charter for GDF SUEZ will soon get underway in conjunction with the union representatives (for more information, see the SUEZ and Gaz de France intranet sites).
